Colorado Christian University Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble Concert

The Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble from Colorado Christian University will be making a stop on their spring tour at Crossroads Bible Fellowship in Balko, OK on March 20. The free concert will include band favorites by John Philip Sousa and Percy Grainger, some toe-tapping jazz, and a short worship set, led by Perryton native Jacob Schollenbarger.

This is the third time in the last ten years that these groups have included Balko in their tour, and the fifth time in twenty years the groups have come to the area. CCU has a special connection with Crossroads, as the director, Mark Dorn, is married to Jill Schroeder-Dorn, another professor in the CCU School of Music. Jill’s parents, Wes and Glenda Schroeder, are long-time members of Crossroads Bible Fellowship, and have been active supporters of these tour concerts.

The concert is scheduled for 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 20, at Crossroads Bible Fellowship (1/2 mile south of Bryan’s Corner). Contact Pastor James Epp for more information.
