Abilene Christian Women’s Connection Coffee
Thursday, July 2nd, 2020
We are excited to invite you to the Abilene Christian Women’s Connection Coffee Thursday, July 2, 2020! All women are invited to meet that morning at Emmanuel Church, 1300 North Vine Street from 9:30 – 11:15 a.m. We are looking forward to enjoying the fellowship of friends and acquaintances at this monthly event! As our theme is patriotic, you are encouraged to wear red, white and blue, if desired, and to invite guests to hear excellent speakers, see beautiful decorations, win attractive door prizes, taste delicious refreshments and enjoy the tunes of talented local musicians.
We have your safety and comfort in mind as we look forward to welcoming you back after a four-month break due to coronavirus concerns. We ask for your patience and support as we put safeguards in place to meet county health department guidelines. We will have limited seating and will be unable to allow walk ins at this time. The wearing of masks is encouraged, but not required. Our hostesses will be taking extra precautions in the handling of refreshments.
Sylvana Airan from Lincoln, Nebraska will be our Special Feature Speaker. She grew up in Pakistan, came to the United States as a student and is now an American citizen. She will display artifacts from Pakistan, demonstrate draping of the sari and burga, and explains the cricket game.
