20th Annual Trunk-N-Treat

Concordia Wesleyan Church will be having their 20th annual Trunk-N-Treat on Sunday, October 31st between 6:30 and 8:00 p.m. at 16th and Cedar in Concordia, KS. Candy will be handed out to the children from a parking lot full of cars in a great atmosphere for kids of all ages. Everything is free, including hot chocolate and popcorn served in the concessions area south of the church. Tables will be available to sit and visit with friends and family.

In addition to the candy, there will be several fun features including a fall photo backdrop where you can snap your own photo, and the Candy Chute, which distributes a piece of candy to each child from 30 ft in the air.

Trunk-N-Treat has provided a safe, fun, and family oriented evening since 2001. This event was created shortly after 9/11 to give kids a place where they could have fun and be safe. “Kids get scared enough in this world,” says Pastor David Redmond, Lead Pastor of Concordia Wesleyan Church. “The church wants to reach out into the community and give people the opportunity to interact with their kids in a positive environment. We want to be a caring place, not a scaring place. Events like Trunk-N-Treat fit well into our church vision of ‘Igniting Hope for Families’”.
