Call for RFL Cancer Survivors

“You have cancer.”  Life is never the same again for people who hear those words.  There are decisions to be made and treatments to undergo. Whether that person has surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or some other treatment, life continues with some degree of trepidation.  Friends and relatives often ask, “How can I help?” The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life provides an opportunity for the entire community to support cancer survivors and to remember and honor others who have been affected by cancer.  If you know a cancer survivor, encourage him or her to sign up now to participate in the ceremonial first lap of the Morris County Relay For Life Sunday evening at 6 pm, September 1 at the Burdick Park. Relay For Life serves as a reminder that much progress has been made in the fight against cancer.  Whether a survivor has been battling the disease for 10 days or 10 years, all survivors are welcome and are encouraged to participate.  Survivors are also welcome to invite their caregivers to complete the ceremonial first lap with them. Join us in coming together for an evening of celebration and remembrance.
